"We reached out to Oakwood builders for our recent extension (2019), we had a clear plan about what we wanted however they came up with some fantastic ideas (without breaking the bank!) that we never even thought of and they have really given our house the wow factor finish! The workmanship of the Oakwood builder’s team I would explain as being of high quality, professional, reliable and very efficient. All agreed works were completed on time or before due dates and to the agreed budget, nothing was an issue or too much to ask. There were no financial surprises on the way through or at the end and the result was exactly what we wanted! Steve organised everything and made sure that every other tradie completed their works to a high standard and on time!
If Steve says he can achieve something, trust me he can! We had several quotes from other builders for the same job, they all came back with ridiculous quotes! Other companies told us we couldn’t have our new area open plan and that there would be a beam sitting down in the ceiling (later to find out it was because they didn’t have the knowledge, experience or the equipment to achieve the job, not that it couldn’t be done). Steve engaged engineers and other professionals to get what we wanted designed and engineered. He then installed the massive steel beam with ease and the finished result is you can’t notice the extension, our house is mid 90’s and it matches perfectly (looks like it was there from the beginning).
Steve’s work is priced very reasonably (one other company was over double his price for the same job!) Steve is also not into clipping the ticket on his other tradies and passes these savings onto the client, another key point that really stuck out for uss was he focuses on one job at a time to finish each job in a timely manner (we were told 4 to 5 months from others as they have other work on as well).
We were still living in our house during the extension with our 18 month old boy, Steve ensured that the house was still liveable and safe for our little one. They did a great job of keeping the mess and dust to a little as possible.
I would describe Oakwood builder’s as having a high level of integrity, honestly and focus is to ensure that the client is happy. For very good cost efficiency, honesty, high quality workmanship and efficiency, I would highly recommend using Oakwood builders.
